With my car, I did a plenum pull and upon reassembly, I idled between 1500 and 2000 RPM. All vacuum lines were hooked up. When I started doing some research, I found that they were hooked up incorrectly. I drew up a vacuum diagram which is in the auto FAQs. In retrospect the only inaccuracy is I swapped the colors of the AIV and EGR solenoid connectors, which I assume are no longer an issue for you. My problems stemmed from the vacuum lines running to the carbon canister, the recirc valves, etc. The lines in that area were all mixed up.
